INTRODUCTION TO VETERINARY EYE CARE
Established in 1993, Veterinary Eye Care is a referral ophthalmology practice that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in all animal species. Advances in veterinary medicine have allowed for specialization in many medical disciplines including ophthalmology.
An ophthalmologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the eyes. A minimum of eight years of college including Veterinary School are required in addition to a one year small animal surgical and medical rotating internship, followed by a two or three year intensive residency program where the techniques of diagnosis, treatment and surgery are mastered. Oral, practical and written examinations must be successfully completed before admission as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ACVO).
OUR POLICY
The Veterinary Eye Care practice is limited to the surgery and treatment of animal eyes. Veterinary Eye Care, established in 1993, is independent and not associated with any other private practice or ophthalmology specialty practice.
Veterinary Eye Care has been providing specialized ophthalmic care and outstanding client services for Birmingham and surrounding areas since 1993.
